Read 1 Kings 19:19-21

Last week we discovered that Elijah was angry, burned out, and confused because he thought

he was doing God’s work all by himself. Was his assumption correct?  How was God at work?

Read 1 Kings 19: 15-18 

What do we know about Elisha?  What qualified him to continue the work Elijah began?

Who are the ordinary people in the Bible that God used in significant ways?  If you feel ordinary,

why is this good news?

This passage reminds us that God seeks our obedience over our understanding.  Why is this the

case?  How does this develop our faith?

Where does God want you to step out in faith?

Why does Elisha kill the cows and burn the plows?  How is this an act of celebration and sacrifice?

Is there a backup plan that God is calling you to burn?
