What does James have to say about the power of words?

James compares the tongue to the rudder of a ship, which determines its direction. If this is

true, our words determine the directional trajectory of our lives. Where are your words leading

you?

Read Matthew 7:7-8

What does Jesus instruct his followers to do in this passage?

What does Jesus tell us to seek?  What door are we asking God to open and what exactly are we

asking God to do?

Why do we begin our prayers to God with the word please?

How can your words, “Please, God” lead to the words “Please God?”

How will you incorporate “Please” into your request to God and to others?

How will the word “Please” shape your world?
