Icebreaker: Do you have a favorite neighbor of all time? What did you like about them? What character qualities drew you to them?

The story of the Good Samaritan is very familiar. How might you see it through different eyes today?

The expert in religious law sees eternal life not as a destination, but a way of living. Describe how your life might be different if you saw eternal life this way?

Have you ever looked for loopholes so you wouldn’t have to love a particular neighbor(s)?

Are there any legit excuses for not loving anyone?

If the Samaritan represents the antihero to the Jews, who would be your antihero? How does it feel to have them be the hero in the end?

The Samaritan acted with courage, compassion and generosity. Which of these qualities do you excel at? Which of these needs the most work in how you relate to your neighbor?

How has the neighboring exercise encouraged or convicted you on how you love your actual neighbors?

What are the implications of Acts 17:26 if God placed you exactly where he wants you with the specific neighbors who live around you?
