Ice Breaker: In junior high, when they were picking teams, what did it feel like to be picked first? What did it feel like to be picked last?

Read 1 Peter 2: 1-10

• What is the “Therefore” there for?  What is Peter pointing back to?

• Why are sins like malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander such a threat to the church? (v. 2:1)

• What does it mean to “crave pure spiritual milk”? What are you spiritually hungry for right now? (v. 2-3)

• Why does Peter describe Jesus as a “living stone”?  (v. 4)

• How is God using you to build a spiritual house at Good Sam? (v. 5)

• Why is Jesus unavoidable? Why do people either build their lives on Him or stumble over Him? (v. 7-8)
