Read John 13: 34-35
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35
Why is it significant that Jesus would speak these words hours before he knew he would be arrested and die on the cross?
Why was Jesus’ last command to the church to love one another?
In this passage, Jesus gives his disciples a “New Command”. Why is this?
Didn’t the disciples know that they were to love each? Do you think that the disciples thought they were loving each other?
Jesus commands us to love the people of the church the same way He loves us. How did Jesus love us? How are you doing with obeying Jesus?
Why is this kind of love the church’s identifying mark?
