If you had one dying wish, what would it be?

What is the first word that comes to mind when you hear the word “Church”?  Why?

What is the first word that comes to mind when people hear the words “Good Sam Church”?  Why?

Read John 13: 34-35

 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”  John 13:34-35

Why is it significant that Jesus would speak these words hours before he knew he would be arrested and die on the cross?

Why was Jesus’ last command to the church to love one another?

In this passage, Jesus gives his disciples a “New Command”. Why is this?

Didn’t the disciples know that they were to love each?  Do you think that the disciples thought they were loving each other?

Jesus commands us to love the people of the church the same way He loves us.  How did Jesus love us? How are you doing with obeying Jesus?

Why is this kind of love the church’s identifying mark?

What is one thing that Good Sam needs to do to better obey Jesus?

What is one thing that you need to do to better obey Jesus?

How will you apply this sermon to your life?  How will you love others as Jesus loved you?
