Sermon Application Questions
Take Notes Here
Ice Breaker: What is something you’ve gotten better at over time—but definitely weren’t good at when you first started?
Read Philippians 3:12-21
- What does Paul mean when he says he “presses on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me”? (v. 12)
- What does it mean to forget what is behind and strain toward what is ahead? (v. 13)
- What kinds of things from the past can hold us back spiritually—both good things and bad things?
- What is the “goal” and the “prize” Paul is referring to in verse 14?
- In verses 15–16, Paul calls mature believers to think this way. What mindset is he encouraging?
- What would it look like this week for you to “press on” toward Jesus?
Prayer: Ask God to help you to “press on” this week.
Reminder: Don’t forget about the Worship Night, which is hosted by Good Sam Small Groups. See you for dinner on March 18th at 5:30.
