Telling God’s Story

Sermon Notes:

Application Questions:

Icebreaker

Answer the question, what are the qualities that make your most significant relationships significant?

How does answering this question remind you that the Good News is not a formula but a relationship?

In your own words, what is the Good News?

Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. 3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

1 Corinthians 15: 1-4

Last week we spent time praying for those who are spiritually lost. Did you see God open any doors?  How did God begin to change you through these prayers?

In this passage, Paul reminds us what the Gospel is. What is the bad news? What is the Good News?

What does the Good News mean for us and others?

How can we invite people to respond to the Good News? What are the main points in this example prayer and why are they important?

Who are the people that you are praying for – that they hear and respond to God’s Good News?
