Icebreaker: What were the emotions that you experienced during the opening illustration? Why did you feel those emotions?
Read Matthew 28:19, Matthew 4:19 and Matthew 9:37-38
In a nutshell, what is Jesus asking us to do?
Why was it so important to Jesus that we share our faith?
Why is it so challenging for us to do today? What barriers do you face in sharing your faith?
What is your method for sharing your faith? Is it working?
What was your reaction in seeing evangelism as more of a process and less about getting people to pray a prayer?
Review the new paradigm:
They meet you, they like you, they realize you are a Christian, they respect your faith, they respect the Bible, they begin to hear the Good News, they recognize their spiritual need, they pray the prayer
What is your impression of this approach?
What part of the model do you thrive in? What part of the model is God calling you to grow in?
Brian McLaren says, “We count every conversation and not just the conversions so we learn the art of spiritual friendship and authentic conversion.”
Who are you spiritually befriending?
How can we pray for you?
