  • When you think of “iron sharpening iron,” do you picture encouragement, challenge, disagreement—or something else?

  • Why do you think Solomon used iron sharpening iron as a picture of growth? What does this say about the role of friction in relationships?

  • What would change in our relationships if we viewed evaluation and disagreement as normal and healthy instead of negative?

  • How does Proverbs 27:17 help us see disagreement not as a threat but as a pathway to maturity?

  • Who in your life has the freedom to speak truth to you, even when it stings? How can you give that permission more freely?

  • How can we sharpen each another with love and humility, making sure that our words build up instead of tear down?
